Nohor Initiatives story begins with a profound encounter that ignited our commitment to change lives through empathy and education. Four years ago, our CEO Mr Farid Khan, fueled by a deep passion for volunteering and social causes, faced a heart-wrenching situation. He learned of a young girl, just seven years old, from a disadvantaged family who was suffering from a high fever. Tragically, her family, uninformed about her condition of cerebral palsy (CP), seemed to have sinister intentions for her well-being.
Against great resistance from the family, he fought tirelessly to ensure the child received the care she deserved. Yet, a devastating turn of events led to her untimely passing in her village, prompting him to reflect on two critical questions. Firstly, he questioned the circumstances surrounding her death and whether it had been a result of her family’s perception that she was a burden. Secondly, he pondered why, as a society, we were so unaware of these crucial issues.
In response to these questions, he embarked on a journey of learning and understanding. Over the last four years, Nohor Initiatives has dedicated itself to creating impactful content aimed at educating and sensitizing society about disability-related challenges.
